If you get into your car and turn the key to start or press starter button and all is quiet,do you panic in confusion. There are some checks that you can do before asking for help.First lets understand a no start condition.A no-start condition occurs when the engine dos not run when the ignition key is turned to start. You must be able to read the symptoms, which could be (1) No Crank -the starter does not operate or just clicks (2) Crank -the starter turns the engine but the engine does not run.We will look into this in the next blog
(1)No Crank-the starter does not operate or turn.Check Battery First

Corroded battery terminals-clean with hot water or baking powder solution
Loose or dirty terminals-Note to remove negative battery terminal first, use sand paper to clean both terminal and battery post.
Dead or weak battery-use voltmeter to check battery voltage which should be 12V.This reading is not good enough, load test the battery. To load test, connect voltmeter to the battery and try to start. The voltage should drop to 9v.Next,check starter if the battery is ok

(1) Check battery voltage on terminal 30
(2)Check battery voltage on terminal 30 with ignition key on start position.Normally the supply comes from the starter relay. If the fuse and relay are fine, the relay control circuit(pins 86 and 85) must be checked.Give us a call on Whatsapp(0680916151) for the relevant starter relay control circuit
(3)Check that the starter has a good earth
Note that the starter can be tested while mounted on the engine by (1) directly feeding power to terminal 50, or feeding power to the solenoid terminal connected to the motor, the motor will spin without turning the engine
Starter Relay Control Circuit(Pins 86 and 85)-refer to the actual circuit of your car model
